This time, we’re excited to introduce Grandpa Nakamura’s Notebooks, the original creations of Nakamura Printing in Tokyo. Each notebook is carefully crafted with unique features and the signature lay-flat design that makes writing a true pleasure.

With a simple yet versatile design, these notebooks are perfect for journaling, studying, sketching, or capturing ideas in daily life. Through this campaign, Rainbowholic will be introducing Grandpa Nakamura’s craftsmanship to stationery fans, students, and creators around the world.

Each notebook from Nakamura Printing is made with a unique threadless binding, allowing it to open completely flat. This special design makes writing, drawing, and decorating pages effortless.

What makes these notebooks even more versatile is that each page can be detached and used as a larger sheet, doubling the space for your creativity. Because the notebooks open flat, they’re also perfect for scanning pages, sharing your work, or gifting a special note to someone.

Created by Nakamura Printing Co. Ltd., a company based in Kita City, Tokyo, these Japanese craftsmen handcraft different kinds of Grandpa's Notebook (おじいちゃんのノート) for everyone to use in any situation. A notebook that’s good for your brain!?
These notebooks use a special paper called OK Synapse, which is scientifically proven (by Nagaoka University of Technology) to enhance memory by stimulating brainwaves. Apparently, the blue-tinted pages and the paper’s surface texture are key factors. As you write on Synapse paper, your concentration increases—helping you retain more of what you write. This is a truly interesting set of notebooks for anyone who wants a mental boost when memorizing lectures, studying for exams, or taking important notes.
